Fun Fun Fun and Good Vibrations are what THE DRIFTWOODS are all about. Starting out as young teens in the 1960’s the band fell in love with lush harmonies, catchy melodies and rock n’ roll rhythms of Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys. They perfected that sound and quickly became a top rock band on the RI music scene performing at high schools, colleges and radio station promotional events. Winners of 12 Battle of the Bands their reputation as the best vocal rock band was established and are today recognized as RI’s longest running rock band.
They have performed from Maine to Key West at concert series, casinos, fairs, festivals, corporate and private events and even opening for national acts. The Driftwoods have appeared on local tv programs, done studio work, released original recordings and actually sang the background vocals on John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band’s original 45 release ‘Wild Summer Nights’.
